"Ducklings" status, pt. 2
I really, really, really hoped it wouldn't come to this, but...
My heart's just not in it. It hasn't been for months, and the longer it's been, the more I resent the whole fic just for existing. I'm sorry, but I can't finish it. Not now, possibly not ever. I'm clinging to the "permanent hiatus" designation just in case, but mostly because I'm too much of a spineless jellyfish to be more definitive about it.
If you've friended this journal because you like my HP fics in general (or Trek, for that matter), I still have several older fics that I haven't gotten around to posting here yet, so feel free to stick around to see what gets dusted off. Otherwise, if the state of my mind for the past few months is any indication, expect to see more fics from Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan saga. If that's not your cuppa, and/or you're only here for Ducklings updates, feel free to defriend this LJ without worrying about me getting all cranky about it. :-)
(Also, if you want to know what was supposed to happen in the last couple chapters of Ducklings, send me a PM and I'll provide a summary.)
Thanks for all the support over the past year and change, y'all. I'm extraordinarily grateful to all of you for reading, and reviewing, and encouraging me. I truly loved writing this fic and breathing life into Rose and Scorpius, and I'm sorry for letting you down in the end.
