So... my best friend has been studying in Mexico for a month. She hates that America has no culture so she absolutely loves Mexico. Which is kind of funny because she looks like your typical materialistic blonde bitch but she really isn't at all. Crazy Maggie!

My best friend, a blue-eyed blonde, is also in love with Mexico. She just spent a year down there, and before that she went there for a few months. She also fell in love, and was convinced that she wanted to live down there.

After going back for the full year, the charm wore off. She still loves Mexico and plans to visit often, but she knows she doesn't want to live in a second world country. My advice to you would be to sit back, be supportive, and encourage your friend to go down and test the waters before making any lifelong commitments. She may find, as my friend did, that it isn't all it's cracked up to be.

(And also, I think you are a super-cool girlfriend. Sending your boyfriend on a treasure hunt is the crazy sort of thing I would do, and I know that I'm fly. So you must be too.)

Yeah, your right. I think she's more in love with the idea of being there with that kind of connection than anything... so It probably will wear off. Thank you, that makes me feel better. I met your best friend on the 4th. She was really sweet, we sat by eachother during the fireworks so we talked a bit! We were kind of buzzed though, she may not remember:) Yay for super-cool girls! funny thing is that I also know a guy who looks like an older version of Ryan (like when we were at ACTF I'm standing at one of the parties with Mikee who turns around sees the guy - who's name is also Ryan - and says "what is my roommate doing here?" it was pretty funny....
