morning training

is coming along, though my lower back/ass is pretty damned sore(bizarrely enough, I think, from a core set I did recently). Any advice as to what to eat before going to the gym at 5:30 in the AM would be welcome, bearing in mind I've never really been able to eat much in the morning.
I am not a morning person.

I east very little to nothing at that point in time.

Sometimes, half a tea biscuit. just so something is in there.
Maybe a quarter of a protein bar...

Concur. Maybe some juice, but that tends to be too much acid. Tea biscuit is a good idea. Scone kind of stuff that just sits in the stomach.
