Hanson thinks that the holders of robots will be the wealthy, but because of relative price shifts, I think that the wealthy will be the holders of raw materials. I think wealth will ultimately come down to a political dispute. Communism failed because of problems with motivation and information. A robot dominated economy will have no problems with motivation and will hopefully have similar informational characteristics of capitalism - people will be able to design what they want and get the robots to make it without worrying about any central planning. Thus, political allocation can take place without destroying productivity
