A few weeks ago, oldest_song and I attended a Zombie Apocalypse Live Action Roleplaying Game. It was a total blast.

In preparation for play, I had to equip myself.

This was my first attempt at painting a Nerf gun - and I'm pretty happy with how it came out. There will be more of this in my future, methinks. :)

That's more than slightly fantastic. Gives me ideas for Daniel's nerf guns (which I am still trying to get him to take out to Greenlake)...man! You should make the projectiles look like the flying balls from Phantasm.

Ooo...little blade-spheres would roxor as ammo. :)

I'm about to do a more steampunk version for the Steam & Cinders LARP - gold instead of silver, similar blackening of the cylinder. Possibly a leather grip. Wish me luck!

So, Nerf balls kill zombies? Does that mean I'm safe with my Koosh ball and paddles? If not, I've got a shovel. Really.

They kill Nerf Zombies - which, as I'm sure you know, are pushovers. Definitely stick wih the shovel for real-life undead threats. :P

Nicely done. I just got a job at Flying labs here in Seattle, makin pirate-y video game goodness.

Needless to say, we're all dorks and I am becoming QUITE acquainted with the subtleties of nerf weaponry. I am all too knowledgeable about this make and model.

You have chosen wisely. Were this some sort of "nerf zombie apocalypse", I would recruit you.
