So this kid from Hogwarts who dresses like a pirate and is friends with Dari and Janus came to ask me to train her. I accepted, because I don't want to leave a kid who just got the rug pulled out from under them stuck without help, but it's kind of scary

Which one is she?
I don't think it's bad for them to have some self-defence. I hadn't thought of that. I probably should have. But I think it might be better to teach them enough so they know how to get themselves out of trouble, instead of staying in a fight. If you understand what I mean. I'm sure they're smart kids and all. But just - if this is about Dolor (and it is), that's what I think. And as long as they know they've got people they can call on if they are ever in trouble, again.
I'm not saying hide things from her, though. More ... teach her where her limits are? I don't know anything about fighting. I'm just really afraid for these kids.

I told her I'd teach her how and when to run, as well as how to fight, I don't think she liked hearing that. I'll teach her about who she can go to for help, too.
I don't think she likes to be told she has limits, so that's probably what I'm going to have to teach - how to work with what you've got and keep yourself safe.
You know. At least to the extent that I stay safe. Which is a pretty goddamn low bar.

Because if she will, you should definitely warn her. You traumatising her by warning her is going to be a lot less damaging than if it just happens to her and she can't do anything about it.

Still, I'm kind of worried about what I'm going to have to throw at her to get her ready to even fight her way out of a situation that bad. I'd be worried about my odds if I didn't have Alice or somebody as powerful as her around.

We were young. But.... But.... Be careful. Don't scar her. Just- teach her. You don't have to tell her about the worst of life to do that, do you?

I will be careful, though.
