People are strange, often to the point of incomprehensibility. The fact of the matter is that out of every human being on the planet, no two of us live in exactly the same world.

In the end, maybe that's what she wants--to try to bridge the gap between your two worlds, to close the distance between you. Or maybe I'm wrong; god knows I'm no expert on relationships. I'm just firing a shot in the dark, really, and I might have missed wildly with this one.

I can say this, though. While it sounds like life is really piling the beatings on you at the moment, things won't always be bad; figure out what you want, then roll with the punches life throws at you the best you can and keep working your way towards it.
