Hungarian (?) translation neeed

Mar 11, 2012 13:02

Hello there! Sorry, but I have no knowledge of Hungarian whatsoever. I just got a whole lot of old Israeli postcards, and one of them looks like it's written in Hungarian. Can someone please take a look, and tell me what it says? Thanks in advance! (sorry for the bad handwriting)

You have a good eye! It says:

Today is Thursday morning. I got special exercises. I thought I had to go to the doctor's again tomorrow after my treatment. i'll be home in the afternoon approximately.

See you(?)

Anna(?)

I hope that helped!

Thank you so much! I guess that person's handwriting looked that way because they were not well...

ooh you beat me too it (i had this page open for a few hours before i replied.) I first thought that they wrote "Azt hittem, hogy holnap" but then it looked like a capital H in Holnap and the comma looked like a period, so I thought maybe there was a sentence break there. But you're right. It makes more sense for that word to be "hogy" -- i can't think of what else it might be. and "hittem" has a capital H too, so that might explain the capital H in holnap, but hogy doesn't have capital H.

Today is Thursday morning. I recieved an interesting exercise. I thought, [Laff?? Haff? lagy??]*. Tomorrow after the treatment I would have to go again to the doctor. I'll be home in the afternoon. Bye, Uma (which isn't a Hungarian name but the handwriting is hard to read -- so that's my best guess)

*none of these words mean anything (lágy with accent on the a means "soft" or in this sense "easy" but there isn't an accent over the a so I don' tknow what word it's trying to be)
