I haven't posted for so long or even read everyone's journals for a while. i feel so far behind in the world. I need to post a bunch of different things, I suppose, since SOOO much has happened.
Instead, I think I will write some of the highlights and come back later to elaborate on some of the funnier stories.

I thought it was really ironic the other day when I found one of those sloppy online journalism type articles about companies that are hiring hundres to thousands of people right now, and Bank of America was included. Apparently they're looking for people to do every kind of job!!! As long as you're not one of the people who actually already know how to do the work for them ( ... )

3. Next, I magnetic-lassoed Chuck and copied the lassoed region. I learned by accident that the magnetic lasso switches into a more delicate gear if you happen to have the capslock down while you are using it! Woot! Helpful! I also goofed a couple of times by having the wrong layer selected when I was lassoing. (Doh!) Like, I copied the non-recolored background one time, and an empty area (from a layer that had nothing in that zone) another time. But if you leave your flashing outline intact, you can simply select the layer you mean to be copying, instead, and you get a do-over! I copied my cut-out of Chuck, made a new layer, pasted him into the new layer, and positioned that layer over the background copy so that a) I could eventually put patterned backgrounds behind him, and b) I could color him separately from his surroundings. (This came in handy with the Anne of Green Gables icon, too, lemme tell you! I wanted the hair to be red, but not the face or the dress. I wanted the background to contrast with the foreground so that she'd ( ... )
