As most people would know, I'm Indian, and I take great pride in my heritage. Most people respect that and some actually find it interesting, so long as I don't bring issues back to ethnicity (I apologize for when I do that and I don't need to, which actually can be waaayy too much). Anyways, for a Civics project, I have the topic of the Skokie ( Read more... )

I agree with the majority of things you've mentioned in this entry. I was, however, baffled at why you would say that the Socialist Party USA has the same ideas and values as the Nazis. Socialists are not neo-nazis, Sameer. i guess you were just talking about one specific occurance, but in general the socialist party is nothing like the nazis. there are actually different socialist parties in the US, some being more conservative than others. but the main one is extremely liberal, open minded, and has many good ideas. i've considered myself a socialist in the past though now i don't really affiliate myself with any individual party. i will, however, be registering as a democrat, of course. anyway, i'm getting off topic... I agree with you that the nazi's have the right to voice their opion AS LONG AS it is done peacefully, and does not harm anyone. the town you mentioned could, however, haved used the argument that the march was "inappropriately disturbing" the town. i think that the neo-nazis have the right to march and whatever, ( ... )

I do completely agree with pretty much everything you've said. I mentioned the National Socialist Party/Movement, which is affiliated with Neo-nazis. I'm aware that there are a series of other Socialist parties in America that are in fact very liberal and human-rights minded. I am myself a bit of a socialist too. And no need to worry bout the comp.
