the I-Pod can suck it!!!

That's right, bitch, I said it, the I-Pod can suck it! Mind you, it's a fantastic and easy-to-use, versatile mp3 player, but it can still SUCK IT! Why is that, you may ask. Well, there's a very good reason, which can be easily revealed by merely doing online price comparisons. You see, despite having amazing technology that surpasses most players, ( Read more... )

actually, i would have to argue that better than both are still the cd player. sure, you have to carry cd's around with you which is a real pain, but if y'all remember back just a bit, you may recall that the listening experience was much better on the cd player, where you weren't as eager and impatient to move to the next song, and the less compelling but equally as good tracks on albums didn't get lost in the shuffle, where you could just sit back and let the album bring you where it took you. i-pods and mp3 players have their advantages obviously, but i'm still a fan of the now vintage cd players myself. just something to think about.

Don't hate. It's just a shiny piece of plastic and aluminum.

There's the whole psuedo-social aspect of having an iPod. I always go through other people's iPods and vice-versa and I'm surprised a lot of the time when I share musical tastes with someone.

I agree with Abby though. CD players are the way to go... I remember the good old days when you would buy a CD and really get to know it. I try to do the same with an iPod, but sometimes it's just hard to resist musical ADD, as I call it... I would most definitely be still buying CDs if the record industry weren't robbing us. Now, I get my music from a combination of iTunes and Bittorrent communities. Not exactly the same as having a physical album in your hands, though.

im with jason, its merely a shiny novelty... hate steve jobs, thats who you should be hating. its pretty hard to hate an inanimate object. i was in a fight with this telephone pole for 3 months before i realized how dumb is was being. i'd advise you to take a good look at your loathing for the iPOD. i find muscial ADD to be a problem as well but when i find an album thats really worth listening to begining to end (which most arent) i find i can do it with ease.

Gabster, have you learned nothing from the "how to be emo" video? listening to vinyl does not make you cooler. theres always the aspect of things you cant get on cd and if you can show me 5 things on your i-pod only relased on vinyl ill shut my face, but c'mon! and by the way, do you even own a record player?

Actually, I didn't even watch the video.

And I have lots of early Joe Strummer stuff only released on vinyl. So suck on that.

Sameer, you have to realize that the music quality put into an iPod is much better than that of a different mp3 player, as the iPod and iTunes use MPEG and AAC encoding, instead of your usual run of the mill mp3s.

Sameer, do I really have to punch this arguement out of you? Because I will. I may just have to drag you up your own stairs again.
