mediocrity is our striving point. when did people decide to settle? having kids makes it okay. it gives people purpose and all of a sudden it is alright that they achieved nothing in life. you're a parent now. that's what you are here for. to procreate and die. maybe if the ending point of purpose wasn't children, people could let go of them easier
