I totally would have married Eddie Dean. He just seemed so real, so normal, so caring but misguided. I'm totally mad about the lack of a movie but the rumors of Javier Bardem as Roland are awesome. I hated how the series ended. Not so much how there is so much death, but Stephen King inserting himself into it.

really? i can see how it would be offputting from the "its p egotistical" angle, but i thought it was pretty well done and made the series feel a bit more "on the edge of our world FOR REAL" to me. i also saw it as him obviously trying to work out and come to terms with a life changing event that obviously profoundly fucked him up both physically and emotionally. do you like the actual ending? that is actually my favorite part. i started that series FOREVER ago (at like book 2 i think) and i was always SO worried he would end it in a fucking cliche way that was not true to the story. when i read the end for the first time i actually got chills up my spine because it felt so perfect. IM GONNA REREAD RIGHT NOW OMG! hehe
