Be Serious, Sherlock!

It seems that every person I know is getting into Sherlock fandom. And while I love bbc Sherlock as much as anyone, I just can't seem to get into the groove for the fandom. It does nothing for me. The fanworks leave me "meh". And I finally figured out why ( Read more... )

I only just started watching it (okay I've seen like the first two episodes XD) and am largely uninterested in the fandom. But I believe that all stories about Sherlock should involve him being completely asexual and ridiculous and being far too excited by the prospect of looking at dead bodies. Meanwhile John facepalms a lot in complete exasperation. That is what I have gotten out of those two episodes and I can't see it being anything else.

Boy, do I ever AGREE with that statement. But instead you get stories about... bubbles and puppies and kittens and Sherlock and John taking their clothes off? D: And I don't understand. The whole fannon interpretation of Sherlock sems increadibly OOC to me all the time. And it's really disconcerning. I keep wondering if I just missed that episode where Sherlock makes schmoopy eyes at John for the entire 60 minute episode. ^^;;

I haven't seen the movie, but I have read the novel. And, in my mind: It's a cool detective novel about two pre middle aged mans who solve a lot of mysteries. And Sherlock is obviously asexual,and the extent of his attention span only involve crime,dead bodies and experiment.

So, I don't think I would enjoy reading about either (1) two middle aged mans having sex or(2)Sherlock being fluffy.

I would jump at a good mystery fanfiction thought, the number of cases in the books are not just enough XD.

Heh yeah, Sherlock is pretty much asexual. Which doesn't mean that people can't write smut with him. Because asexual people can still have sex. But a little more thought would be nice.

I agree on the mystery cases. They are fun and awesome. XD
