You know, you have an amazing combination of interests - physics and theology. As far as I know, the most prominent discoveries are made at the turn of the subjects. From this point of view, your turn seems to be challenging, promising and rewarding. Have you ever read about Carl Jung's relations/correspondence with Wolfgang Pauli?
Thanks! I think I'm starting to realize that what I've always been interested in deep down has been what I like to call "big ideas" and physics is one subset of that category, and theology is another, but perhaps closer to my heart than physics is.
I have not read about Jung and Pauli, I'll have to look into that. Any recommendations on a starting point?
As for my recommendations, the first thing that comes into my mind is this web-site: http://www.psychovision.ch/rfr/roth_e.htm. Though I realize it may seem a bit too difficult for a beginner. There is also a good (simple and clear) article of Aniela Jaffe (Jung's follower) about the relations between science and subconscious in the book "Man and His Symbols".
