Good day. I need yor advice. I need to get the work of the famous philosopher Theodor Adorno, dedicated to the Mahler's oeuvre. I have found the book on the Amazon.com, but they require payment by credit cards, and it's not my case. are there some other ways to get the book?

I live in Moscow, and I know only one library, where such a work can be found - Lenin's State Library, and i've been thinking of going there soon...but i'm not sure whether they have it...

according to an ex-prof of mine, people don't read adorno as much as they read rose subotnik's commentaries on adorno. evidently the Big A is really a bitch to understand. have you read any subotnik? i don't know if she's got books or rather journal articles etc- it'd be worth checking out. as far as adorno, i'd get it 0ut of the library and see if it works for you.

thanks very much.
As to Subotnik - never heard the name. Is she an american or something else? she seems to be a russian according to the surname (or ukranian)-)..may be it will be easier to find her works rather than Adorno's..
As to difficulties in understanding Adorno - once I read Wittgenstein, now i have nothing to fear-)))
By the way, do you think it will be more pleasant to read another Mahler's researcher - Henry-Louis De La Grange?
