My 30th birthday was last month, on the 20th, and I had been talking for a while (at least a year, if not more) about going to Las Vegas with friends and have a really excellent time. I attempted to try and plan it, and even getting discounts on hotels through work my key people just didn’t think they were going to make it. I was disappointed but

I'm glad you got to do something fun for your 30th birthday :3 I can't even recall what happened at mine, so it must have been lackluster. It sounds fun to rent a cabin somewhere with only people you like!
