Long Goodbye

Gunnar's mother is now a full-time resident at the nursing home. Her mental capacity is greatly diminished, to the point she doesn't even recognize her own children sometimes. She can not walk without assistance, nor eat. It is so sad ( Read more... )

My grandmother (Mom's mother) is in the same situation, but Mom and an aunt are taking turns caring for her.

I saw her last time I flew home and it's heartbreaking.
