After Rose left: Before Dinner

Maia sat on the couch where Rose had been just an hour before. She hadn't moved from the spot really, except to order dinner to be delivered around the proper time for tea. Call it intuition. Call it a gift she had always thought of as a curse. Or maybe it was just coincidence, but Ivanova came knocking at Maia's door that night, a twelve-pack in one hand and some action flick involving pirates in the other. Tonks was out of town - again - and Ivanova was willing to risk Rose to spend some time with her only other friend in this place.

It's unlocked. Maia thought as she walked out of her bedroom, a smile of relief on her face, she loved Susan and the only person in the world who could cheer her up for the long wait for Rose to come home would be Ivanova.

"Hey," Ivanova called with a grin as she managed the doorknob and opened the door with her bum, closing it with a foot. She held up the movie and the beer. "Tonks is out of town. I want to get drunk and look at pretty pirates and chesty wenches. Join me?"

Maia managed a soft smile. "Yeah but I don't know about the drunk bit. Rose is supposed to be home by dinner time." Maia's voice was still very soft.
