Yay Sufganiot!

Did you know that sufganiyot are "little things that soak up oil", and latkes are "little tiny things fried in olive oil"?

I love reading the balashon feed, about the etymology of Hebrew words. Sometimes she gets into Arabic, Ladino, and even Yiddish -- so a couple of days ago she did latkes, and before that sufganiyot.
