You are right if they loved each other that much passing on together is a great comfort. I'm sorry to hear this hun I hope you are not feeling guilty that you didn't visited them on mother's day. I don't think your Opa and Oma would want that.
Lot of hugs and kisses and please don't let your tears in! Cry as much as you need and don't think it's a phase. Every future experience might become a painful memory. You will miss them every year during birthdays, holidays and so on.
So it's best for you to cry when you need to and cuddle your loved ones as much as possible. Just think of them going on a long holiday and someday you'll meet again.

When my grandma's died I was in different ends of Canada, and didn't have the money to fly back to their funerals. My mom told me to remember the last times I was with them, and know they're watching over me. and I know I'll see them again someday. ^__^
