In the Greenhouse...

Elaine is puttering about the greenhouse, making sure everything is neat as possible.

She's planted some lily bulbs she got from Bar, and she's tending them ever so carefully.

There's lots of room for new things to grow. It's a lovely greenhouse.

And it's nice and warm and humid, as a greenhouse should be.

The idea of greenhouses is still quite new to Svava- which is emphasised in the contrast between inside and the weather outside. So she is looking around curiously as she enters with the box of flower seeds she got from the bar the other day.

Elaine beams when she sees her friend. "Good even, Svava!" She waves. "Isn't it nice in here?"

"Yes- though... how does it stay warm in here? There's snow outside on the ground, and the air is much cooler as well. I don't think its magic- there wasn't any used in the building of this place, was there?"

Elaine laughs. "No, no magic whatsoever. The glass lets in sunlight and keeps it warm, and there's pipes underneath the greenhouse and through it that heat it with heated water."

Antigone steps inside, warm air washing over here like spring already, spring again. She smiles faintly.

Elaine notices the expession. "It is lovely, isn't it?"

"Yes," she says softly.

[maid_of_astolat]

"Over here, I have a table for you to work at, and there is potting soil over here, and planting trays. Watering cans can be found over to the right, by the sink. There are tools in those closets by the door."

She smiles encouragingly. "Did you plant many things, outside of Milliways?"
