Elaine has put the dinner dishes away, she's put David to bed, and has picked toys up in the livingroom, and is settling down on the couch at the end of the day, with her feet tucked beneath her, holding a glass of white wine

There's a knock on the door.

Mmmmm. Millitime.

Elaine goes over to answer, gathering her dressing gown around her. She opens the door. "Kim! Good evening, come in...would you like a glass of wine? or tea?" She smiles at her friend. "It's good to see you."

She looks at the way Elaine's dressed. But, she doesn't seem to be going to bed any time soon.

"It's nice to see you too," she smiles and steps inside. "Thanks, do you have any coffee?"

"It's no trouble to make. Come into the kitchen and sit down."

She's learned the finer points of making coffee, and it's not bad at all. As the coffee is brewing, she sits down with her wineglass across from Kim. "How are you, Kim? I was so glad to see that you and Chase were back, as well as Jack...Angela missed you so."

His after-dinner cigarette finished, Ryan heads back to the flat. It was nice to have this place away from everyone, somewhere less cramped than his old room or even the one he and Elaine had shared.

Locking the door behind him, it's late after all, Ryan slips off his shoes as he enters the apartment. "Elaine?"

It doesn't matter how long they've been together, she still gets a familiar thud in her heart when she hears his voice.

She gets up and goes to him, slipping her hand in his. "I was just sitting by the fire. Come join me?"

"Hello," he says, leaning in to kiss her on the cheek. Giving her hand a slight squeeze he nods, "And yes. What are you up to?"

"Not much. Just sitting and relaxing and waiting for you to come home," she says, leading him over to the sofa.
