Well, thanks for good wishes! My Dad's stroke was very scary, but he bounced back quickly - almost TOO quickly. He is under the impression that nothing really bad happened and there is no reason to change his lifestyle or get worried. AARGH

My mother (87) fell in her apartment on Thursday night and broke several bones in her foot, as well as giving herself a terrible bruising. She can't really remember how it happened.
The hell of it is that we had her over for dinner, and I dropped her off about seven that night. Must've happened shortly thereafter. I sincerely hope 2007 is a better year all the way around.

Sorry about the delay in replying, but I got sick with a bad cold not long ago...SHEESH!...anyway, my internet presence has been "hit and miss"!
Today I'm trying to catch up and get things going again!
Dad's ankle is still too swollen to put a cast on. He is getting around the house on my mom's 5-wheeled office chair! He is losing weight, as mom now has total control over what he eats (he is very naughty about getting cheeseburgers downtown). He also says this whole thing has taught him the value of "slowing down". WOW! Doesn't even sound like my dad! The dad I know has two speeds: 3000km/h and asleep-in-front-of-TV !! LOL!
I will tell him that people AROUND the WORLD wish him well! (The internet still baffles and amazes him!)
:)
