Photo manipulation

How do you feel about photo manipulation? Sure, we all sharpen things up, clone tool out that double chin and blur that zit, but what about when you make photos look like film? I know a lot of photographers use Photoshop in their post production for more than cleaning things up, so I guess I shouldn't feel bad about wanting to do this. I just... don't know, I feel like a cheater if I can't make the photo look like this by myself, but I feel like MANY photographers use this kind of manipulation these days.

I don't have a problem with it as long as they don't try to pass it off as a film print. I'd prefer them to say altered digital print, but that's my preference.

I'm not really a fan... just use a film camera if you want them to look like that, haha. Fake polaroids make me angry too. I don't mind a small but of alteration, levels etc, but I don't like to do anything severe to mine.
