He admitted to this, easily, like saying the sun was out or telling lady Catelyn that rain had interuppted a tourney. He never once pretended...

Casual disregard isn't pretty to watch, in general.

Still, I can imagine worse things to be your last sight on earth. Then again, I doubt the boy appreciated them.
