This is where I originally intended to leave the story when I set out to write it -- sort of a revenge to Kaito for hijacking my time and attention in the first place when there was another (super sekrit) project that I've been working on. If you like this ending (as I do), then you need read no further. If you don't, as the muses didn't, then there are two more parts for you to look for in the near future. There is a reason all the warnings state part x of four.

Don't worry so much, Kaito usually gets his way in the end.

Artistically speaking, I rather like this ending. It does have a feeling of closure to it, though certainly not a happy feeling. Therefore, emotionally speaking I'm looking forward to the next couple of parts and hoping that Kaito gets his happily ever after.

I need a happy endiog. Because the true one is so sad. So I expect the next part will be if Kaitou gets to either keep Shinichi or both? Even knowing (or not knowing) makes me worried for the bad things that could happen.

Please keep up the good work!
