Description:
An experienced Principal Software Engineer to design and develop the java components of Kronos analytics platform and data warehouse. The successful candidate will draw on a well-rounded java development and data analytics career building enterprise java applications, corporate, BI and ad-hoc reporting using the latest tools/technologies.
Responsibilities:
Work with product owners and customers to define analytic, data warehouse, ETL and requirements
Define/design user stories, Web based java tools for data warehouse and ETL requirements
Implement solution in agile scrum methodology tightly integrated with a Java enterprise environment.
Evangelize the Data warehouse /OLAP/BI solution within Kronos and to customers.
Work with developers to produce a full new set of reports and reporting capabilities.
Train technical consultants and support engineers on the maintenance of the solution.
Requirements:
BS/BA or higher in Computer Science, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or the equivalent
5 years experience creating web-based enterprise java applications,
3 years of data modeling, RDBMS, SQL and database performance optimization
Experience building reporting, BI tools, OLAP cubes and building a highly performant data warehouses
Development experience with Java (J2EE technologies, portlets, etc) desired
Experience in a commercial software environment.
Knowledge of software engineering techniques and technologies, including full understanding of object-oriented design and modern enterprise design patterns. Direct experience working with agile development methodologies a plus.
Energetic and results-oriented demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
