Ouch. I love this opening even if I find myself not liking Jor-El and Lara all that much. In their desparation to ensure Kal-El's survival, they've deliberately going to cause no end of destruction and heartache on his adopted world. The best laid plans...

Thanks so much for your sweet comment. Ummm, Jor El and Lara pretty much thought that the loss of a few was worth saving their one! Yeah, we already knew Jor El didn't have a great opinion of Terrans.

Wow loved this glimpse into the arrival of baby Kal-El. Clark's parents really planned ahead for him. I like the twist about them assuring Kal-El would have a bonded mate. Great start.

BTW, I adore your icon. I hope to show in the next story that for Kryptonians it's vital for their health to be bonded. Thus, in order to ensure Kal El's survival she had to create a mate for her son.

A beautifully written and addictive prologue. I know it's only pseudo-science but it reads logically, very clever. I look forward to more chapters.

Thanks so very much for the compliment. Addictive is a word that warms me up inside. It sounds as if I sucked you right in. Coming from a sci-fi pov, I love when the science sounds plausible and so there is an idea in my mind of a possible event that could occur.
