Squeee! I'm loving this story SO MUCH!!!! The back story of the Luthors feels absolutely spot on, and I rejoice that Lex gets this opportunity to grow up free of Lionel's taint. I like how you've linked Lex's love for Warrior Angel with his liberation from Lionel, and how that love spills over to his relationship with Clark. Destiny!
Thank you so very much. Lionel had to get his magnificent bastard training somewhere. And from SV canon we already know he was cruel when he was younger. I don't think he turned it off and was sweet to his wife.
Oh yeah! Destiny and Warrior Angel are the factors that will define Lex's life.
Wow Lionel is such a bastard. How he treated his poor wife and child. I'm glad he was the one to die this time. Lex and Clark are so adorable together. I love the connection they already have and how Clark was able to sooth lex just by crooning to him. This chapter was wonderful.
I always felt that Lionel should have died in the tornado. Why is it that evil somehow always manages to thrive? No more, I said, so he went POOF! LOL!!!!! As for Clark and Lex, that scene in the truck has always affected me. It was rife with possibilities, most of which were squandered by stupid actions from the Kents and the Luthors.
I love reading about young CLex, particularly when it's as well written as this. I enjoyed reading about the wind "soughing", which indeed it does though sadly not as much as it did for the Brontes or Dickens!
This whole story so far is delightful and as I'm already past midnight I shall stay up to finish both my whisky and the next chapter.
WOW!! I kept you up past midnight. And you have a whiskey to fortify you. Seriously, I am loving on your words right now. Authors, I admire have kept me up past midnight. That you just put me in that group even for a second is energizing and revitalizing. Thanks so, so much for your lovely comment.
