Just volunteered to move my talk up one week. Is it 'cause I feel like I've made satisfactory progress and confident that I can talk about my data without slitting my wrists? Hellz no.
But realistically, is one week going to make that much of a difference?

Reading this paper right now and these guys are all: "At the suggestion of a reviewer, we..." and at one point they were all: we know this makes no sense statistically...
Basically: "We think this is stupid and we don't care who knows"

I didn't get as far as I wanted to on my thesis today, but I did managed to clean the car and write a brief history of the Hubble Space Telescope!

My data doesn't make any sense and is probably inconsistent with previous literature--not in a good scientific breakthrough, publish in PNAS, Nobel prize winning way, but in a WTF am I looking at this is bullshit I want to slit my wrists way. -
