I think people are upset because there is already so little material in the media representing you to begin with, and the media goes and misrepresents you, feeding stereotypes that may not be accurate. On the other hand though i'm happy that Glee is at least including these topics in their show, which is better than what could be said for others, but because it's so poorly-handled by the scriptwriters it could be doing more damage than good orz

Also i don't think you need to be a "feminist" to care about the fair treatment of women.

Whoops, i don't mean to complain about you not caring about the girls' treatment, but rather that you saying "if you do X you must be Y" doesn't sound right.

Oh, I see what you mean there. Sorry, I probably worded myself weirdly. ;; I guess I mostly wanted to say that I notice and do feel bad for the female characters sometimes but I wouldn't get worked up for their rights...? I mean, like I see Rachel gets bullied all the time but it actually made me admire her more for keeping herself strong despite all that abuse she's getting. Maybe I just... look at things differently ( ... )
