Saiyuki fanfic where Jeep isn't a dragon, but a Pony (author explains in her author notes that she doesn't know much about dragons, but she does have a pony, so...). There really isn't that much difference from the canon (besides being more focused on the transport vehicle), but the sleeping arrangements usually include hay lofts and stables. And Sanzo's Gold Card suffers because of higher feeding costs.

I am liking this version better already. XD Jeep as a pony is so much more like the original Journey to the West too, but I can imagine the apples in each town they visit disappearing suspiciously with the arrival and departure of the Ikkou...

(I used to take horseriding lessons, and I had the opportunity to ride a young frisky blackie called 'Buck' for suspicious reasons. He also ate apples by the second.)

Thanks for this. XD

On little cat feet.

It's a WK fic, entirely from the perspective of cats. The main heroes are some that live around Koneko, but there are many side characters (with especially memorable intermezzos from cats watching Farfarello and Schuldig entertain themselves). The most touching part is the Flashback with Crawford's childhood cat Crunchy, who gets killed when defending little Brad from kidnappers.

I was giggling from the start, but when I got to the heroic death of Crunchy (Crunchy!!!!!!!) I started making very undignified snerksnerksnerk noises :D

Well, his actual full name was Crunchy the Ciller (Brad was a bad speller), and he had some telekinesis, so it wasn't totally zero chances.

my life as a bug:

WK AU fic - Masafumi is not dead! Includes ten lines of warnings (and so it should) and several imaginative NC17 scenes.

known unknowns:
An original about an Azerbaijani mathematician who is trying to write his PhD thesis and in his research accidentally discovers elves. He falls in love with their princess, but she chooses someone else and the poor guy ends as one of the main courses in a wedding feast. Only at the end we find it was told from a perspective of a ghost.

A Tail of Passion: a WK and Loveless crossover. Schuldig's big hair is hiding cat ears and his tacky clothes are cleverly disguising a tail. Because he feels it's just not seemly for a big bad evil mastermind to be, well, not tail-less :p. Then he finds someone he wants to be with (very passionately) and doesn't know how to share this, because they think he's very experienced. All sorts of funny events occur in connection with this.

When Realities Collide: Arthur and Ford are on a run, hitchike a noble dragon and end up in Ankh Morpork. Ford can't seem to adapt, but Arthur finally feels like he came home (he even likes the tea). He also falls for Angua, which is sort of doomed from the start, but he's used to that.

These are brilliant. I'm now going to spend the rest of the day picturing Rincewind and Arthur having a heart to heart. Of course, you can bet that Sergeant Colon will have something to say about the inherent suspiciousness of Ford's propensity to carry towels around.

That's a really bad 'Schuldig as a teenage whore' fanfic.

A very serious SF story about labour laws in the dystopian future. Earth, year 2500 Mutants are taking over and rare poor 'un-enhanced' humans are deemed inferior and priced out of the market.

I think I read that one
