It's raining like a deluge, because after two so-called subtropical days and nights we're supposed to return to cool Atlantic weather. Roller-coaster weather, temperatures going up and down. I'm glad that the one week in June when I drove to and through France was coincidentally the only period of pleasant weather ever since the end of May.

Strictly meteorologically speaking, I like some heat during the daytime, but I don't like hot nights. I'm not looking forward to the two 20 °C++ nights that are forecast now.

It's going on since January now that apparently I can't write a single verse of poetry for adding words to my music any more. Very annoying, that. Like some sort of a creative obstipation.

I don't know what's going on here at Dreamwidth. After my most recent import of an LJ my "Reading page" has been crippled, and some of the entries in my journal are appearing twice. Doesn't look appealing...

Eventually I made the new recording hardware and software work with the new notebook, so it seems. The trick was simple and I should have tried it right from the start: turning off all the shiny showcase features that came with Windows Vista, like the Aero desktop design, as well as expendable features like the perpetual indexing of the harddrive ( Read more... )
