Fukui is known for it's fresh fish which I enjoy, I unfortunately can't read Japanese so I don't know what I'm buying. It's kinda a guessing game. Sometimes it's good, sometimes I beg the sea for forgiveness for whatever I'd done to cause such wroth (I exaggerate for affect). But no really, there's been no real food disasters. I should just get a translated Japanese cookbook.
To tell the truth I don't know why beef is soon popular. Maybe it is because it's rare, it's like a cheap delicacy or something. Oh well, another mystery of the Japanese culture.
