Being a homeowner is bad for my nerves....

So I was over at my parents' house last night just to visit, and by the time I left, the lightning outside was fantastic. No rain, nice and windy, and tons of lightning. Gary had called before I left and sounded hungry, so the plan was to pick up some food for him, and then go home and stand in the garage and watch the lightning

Honestly, because we were spared, I had half a mind to call in sick to work and head over to Rogers because I heard they were looking for volunteers for the clean-up efforts.

I wish I could afford the time off. =0(

What would be really nice would be for employers to offer the time off with pay to those willing to put in a day working on clean-up efforts.

Hee, the place I work is a little small for that sort of thing. Or perhaps they're too big for that sort of thing. Either way, it would never happen.

But yeah, it would be nice.
