life in grand rapids has always seemed, at least to me, both a confused blur and an ever-expanding meeting of the most profound feelings and conclusions that I have conjured in my lifetime. I am repelled and attracted. I long for Grand Rapids, and then when I return, I end up feeling bewildered and a little sad.
