So my cat went blind again tonight. You can actually see the blood behind her right eye if the light catches it right. I bumped up her blood pressure meds to what the animal hospital had her on initially and will talk to my vet in the AM. Poor confused little thing. Any good thoughts/prayers would be appreciated.

Thanks. She's a bit better this morning. Her pupils are now responsive to light and most of the blood has cleared from her right eye. Hopefully the increased blood pressure meds are helping. keep your fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed it clears up fully soon. :(

I know from a human perspective that a change in meds can be a real help in hypertensive retinopathy, and haemorrhages, even big ones, will reabsorb. My job as an eye bleed nerd, let me show you. With any luck, it's a similar story in kitties.

Hope for the both of you that the new meds will keep it from happening again.

That's the hope. She got her sight back last spring and her pupils are reacting to light, so that's a good sign. We'll see. *fingers crossed*
