Yukiko stopped me in the hallway to inform me that the kids who live next door to us were being loud. "I think they are making sex," she said. Then she proceeded to imitate the sounds.

I also taught her the phrase "she is the shit!" and made sure to emphasize that "the" is important, but that neither should probably be used in class. ("She is the shit!" was in reference to Regina Spektor, who we both adore. I gave her all five of my Regina Spektor albums when she asked if she could get "Fidelity" from me.)
