Tim groaned as he awoke-- and he immediately began to take stock of his surroundings and what was different in general.
He could tell his injuries had been tended-- there was less pain, and it was cleaner, now. And his clothes felt neat and pressed. And then he noticed the mark-- it held the disturbing connotation of branding. He'd have to look into it further.
Pulling himself off of the floor, he took a look around the attic, hesitating, as he saw everyone else in more or less the same state. If nothing else, he could take a look at any commonalities between the marks. And make sure everyone was okay.
