He was returning a book to the shelf, when he caught sight of a familiar blonde. Oh thank goodness he was alright! He hadn't seen him since the incident with that little girl! He tucks his large bible under his arm and makes his way to the young man, smiling brightly.
"Hello there. I believe we met once before, I'm glad to see you're doing well!"

"That we have" he replied, though he couldn't help but to smirk at the man's assessment. "I'm doing excellently, and thank you very much for your consideration." There was an edge to his words that would likely make it difficult to tell whether or not they were sarcastic; the truth was that they very much were. It was more than a considerable overstatement to say that he was doing well, even if he was neither injured nor in any particularly dangerous situation.
One could hardly be doing well here, after all. Well-being was simply unfit for this place.
Mello narrowed one eye as he looked the other over. "Tell me," he declared, flatly placing a gloved hand down on the book's centre. "You happen to know anything about this book?"

He looked the book over for a moment, he had seen it laying about but knew nothing of it. He shook his head.
"I cannot say I do, I'm sorry, is it important?"

The book was certainly interesting, yes. But Mello doubted that however interesting something was related directly to however important it might have been. Importance was difficult to judge.
"I can tell you that it's not your ordinary stack of bound paper," he suggested, taking a moment to flip through the blank pages before turning back again to look the man in the eye. "In fact, I'm sure it's something more than that. Do you think that makes it important?"

Which made it a bit worrisome when she found not one, but two people present; at least she'd met the scarred one before, albeit briefly.
"Oh, erm...hi." She blinked, for some reason expecting the library to be empty when she concocted the idea of revisiting the place.
