Javert enters the library, having found it with little difficulty upon wandering the now-unlocked House. After checking that the exits were, indeed, blocked, and that the gates would not allow him to exit, the library seemed to be the most logical place to start. He had little skill in scaling walls like a certain convict he could conjure in his head, but at least learn he could learn about this wretched home and country through written word.
After all, he was beginning to think that he wasn't in France at all.
He afforded a quick glance to the boy in the chair, making sure to take in his appearance and demeanor. Then, he seemingly paid the boy no more attention as he turned to one of the tall shelves and began to search for a tome of interest.
Javert hated to read, but a little bit of suffering was necessary if he expected to gain a leg up in this House.]

The best method, he decided on, was to remain silent. So he did so, continuing to peruse the book he was reading as he silently turned pages.
After giving the man a moment to search pointlessly, he raised a hand and pointed to a section of the library that was separated by languages. But which language should he use to speak? French seemed the most likely, considering the surroundings. ]
Français, Anglais, Latin, Russe, Egyptien. Il y a plus langues, mais...
