I would, however, like to go on record as saying that from 3:30am until 7:41am I could actually breath through both nostrils. AT THE SAME TIME.

I love where they left the ending--a little bit of hope, but mostly just Frankie and his mum in a little bit better place than they were and looking forward instead of back.

It could have really been icky sweet and fairy tale and that would have completely ruined it, I think.

um, spoiler alert?

It's definitely a chick flick, Prettiest, but it was a very sweet movie. And the little boy who plays Frankie is a lovely little actor.

I dunno. I admit to being inclined to like All Things Gerard Butler, but this one struck me as a nice little movie. Not great art, not great drama, but a sweet, quiet little film in which the three main characters really experience some growth and movement forward. I give it two monkey thumbs up.

... And then I watched Beowulf & Grendel, and .... um.... mmmmm, Gerry with long hair and wearing armor? um.... mmmmmm, charming interview with an exhausted and yet buzzing-on-adrenaline-Gerry in the extras ( ... )
