Simpletons, I've found, are far easier to come across than those of intellect. Isn't it ever so easy to guide sheep who have been blinded? Easier still to guide those with whom the handicap is self-inflicted.

Monsieur Crehador - ha, a foolish young Frenchman, still blinded by the coin. Oh, I've noticed the small detraction of Emerald Forest; it surely is coincidental that I've my Magician-hopeful in such a time. Poisons even affect the mind. And a fair example here, I dare say - the prodigal son is quick to see the calling card, and the magpie soon follows at the suggestion of tinsel.

I wonder, my son, what the next move shall be. Perhaps I already know. A fabulous game of chess, and indeed, you choose the white pieces so aptly. After all, white moves first, black to follow and counteract. Your action, then my counteraction, and onwards it goes. Won't you be ever so surprised to learn that, even should the king be captured, the match is ongoing.

Your move, then? I've already your strategy, and I've already the most effective method.

Shall we go on at length about the finer points of intellect, gentlemen, or are we to allow more recognition for ignorance?
