I believe Jay-Z took back his retirement, haha. I remember reading interviews in which he said that was the most idiotic thing he could have ever said because he spent like a year in retirement and then was like "wtf am I thinking???"

Ah, I thought it was either a really big mistake or publicity stunt when he said he was retiring. Dude isn't even forty yet, what was he doing?
