There's a bakery by my house that makes one of the best red velvet cakes in the Bay Area. It was $22 for an entire cake. It was so good. I had a bite for dessert tonight. :D

maybe coz the hujung (the triangular shape part) is too high n pointed? Try making it more...er...penyet? horizontal length > vertical length

I would experiment with putting two panels together and try to worth towards getting a half-sphere shape by taking it in at the seams, if there isn't any better patterns available ._. once you've worked out the correct length and curve the rest should be easy.

Another thought occured to me: your pointy end of the panel would probably end up with a 90 degree angle. That way, putting 4 pieces together there will result in a flat surface.

I've never tried for a four-panel... usually for hats for that shape it needs to be at least six panels, with a leaf like shape yes. What are you using it for? The veil or the hood? O_o

Because for the veil I just draped a piece of cloth and pinned.

sew the pointy part a bit tighter?

hmm.. maybe the cloth a bit..hard? >_< just wash it then it will soften? (err..lol..?)

or..stick it to a...rounded/flat surface on the inside..ahaha?

(man, my suggestions feel useless...;___;)

ganbatte!
