Oops. I completely forgot I linked to that entry anywhere. I deleted it because... ok, here's what happened. C.S. Lewis once wrote about how the human heart, mind, and soul have cravings just like the body that must be satisfied: "deny it food, and it will swallow poison." Well, when The Promise Part 1 came out, I was desperately starving for anything Avatar and was thrilled to feed on this, not caring about its flaws anymore than someone dying of thirst in the desert would care that the only water they found was muddy. But by the time Part 2 came out, I'd been feeding on the much-more-awesome Legend of Korra for weeks, so when i read Part 2, I could fully acknowledge its inferiority to both the original and sequel series ( ... )

Heh, i can get that. I remember I was starving for avatar... ANYTHING avatar.

Am not really enjoying Legend of Korra though. It's a personal thing: In the original series, I fell in love with the ancient Asian setting, but Republic City is too recognisably NYC, a place which holds some bad memories for me. And Korra herself reminds me of an American whom I know (and dont really get along with) in real life.
