Finish one thing before starting another
Back in early December, I did sigil work on omly. I'd intended to post about it immediately thereafter, but you all know how December goes. Since I am going out, tonight, and doing more sigil work, I figured I better get this captured before it becomes muddled in my memory.

I don't look like I look
This morning, I was getting a haircut. As such, I was in the barber's chair, facing myself in the mirror. Looking at myself for such a long time made me aware that I don't look like how I look to myself. That is to say, the image of myself in my mind seems different than the image that the mirror shows. The weight of my design
This weekend, I went to the spiritual workgroup that catya runs periodically. Of particular note, we took a shamanic journey during this time, which was a first for me - as least so far as going into this kind of thing intentionally.

Weighty matters
As part of my training for my up coming Grand Canyon trip, I needed to get used to having a backpack on loaded with 30 pounds of stuff for hours of hiking. I'd started hiking with a loaded pack more than a year ago, and I worked my way up to the 30 pound carry weight. I do that now with no problem. Trying out a new phone app
For a while now, I've been thinking that I've wanted to get an app to allow me to blog from my droid. While I can do it through the web browser on my phone, it's not a good experience. Thus, here I am, testing out the ElJay app. Hopefully, this will go well.

Procrastination
I've been full of procrastinating lately. All kinds of none-too-complex tasks are lodged in my to-do list, and they aren't getting to-done. When I do have free moments, I've been frittering that time away, rather than being productive. I think, in part, this has to do with my job having been so intense for nearly the last year. Not down with the Furies
This morning, I finished Furies of Calderon: Codex Alera by Jim Butcher. I'd previously read all of the Dresden Files, which I throughly loved (and can't wait for some more!)
