I think I might be able to get an alternative fuel certificate and plate for my car. If so, there'd be a significant tax savings every year when it comes time to renew my registration. It probably doesn't make up for the extra expense of the biodiesel, but it would be nice to save a little money somewhere. Here's what the plate looks like:

Have you considered the cons of owning an alternate fuel car? You'll have all the mums in their road tanks calling you "Un-American" for not using 25 litres of petrol every quarter mile.

Yay environment! The LP is kinda ugly though, esp. compared with the AZ ones. I really like the AZ LPs.

Nothing wrong with being a tad bit obsessed with a car... ;)

It's not so bad in person, but I agree... it looks kind of dumb in the picture.

I found out the MVD doesn't consider biodiesel a suitable alternative fuel, even though the state of AZ appears to think it is. Oh well, I still like my car. :)

oh my - gotta love the politics of it all! How strange is all of that?! As long as you like yoiur car, that's all that really matters in the long run, right? :)
