Don't trust anyone who recommends evaporative cooling

Can you believe the woman who wanted $4.50 a square foot to stain my concrete told me "I got into the business because I screwed up my own floor trying to stain it myself?"

mastercools are a lot better than conventional coolers. they work at much higher humidity levels. i owned one in phoenix. there are still some days where you will be miserable, but even on the hottest most humid days, mine kept the house at 83. when it's dry, we're talking low 70's.

I was being sarcastic. There were lots of things this particular woman told me about concrete staining that clashed with what I've been reading about the process. And she quoted me the most expensive procedure they offer. I just didn't get a good feeling about her.

My mother has a MasterCool so I know how well they work for evaporative coolers. I've been spoiled having AC in the place I'm renting, so I don't want to not have it again!
